The Nike Shox R4 Creeps Towards Copper With “Ironstone”

The 2000 silhouette takes on a vaunted look.

The Nike Shox R4 Creeps Towards Copper With “Ironstone”

Just how deep the Nike archive is means there’s always a host of retro efforts occurring in Beaverton at any given time. As the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 tackles tech runner and gorpcore gets handled by silos like the Rufus and Izy, the return of the Nike Shox solves 2000s nostalgia. Their bringback effort collides with a beloved metallic palette for Spring 2025 as the Nike Shox R4 “Ironstone” hits on “Copper” aesthetics.

With about a dozen colorways hitting the shelves in this renewed run, we can comfortably assert that this kind of metallic design is the Swoosh’s favored look. “Ironstone” brown remains matte on the synthetic sidewalls, but that reflective atmosphere crops up once again on the jewel tongue branding and embroidered Swoosh. Jet black accents on the rest of the shoe inherently de-emphasize the audacious underfoot tech, making this one of the more low-key colorways we’ve seen so far. If you prefer to fly under the radar, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better entry point to get in on the Shox R4.

The Nike Shox R4 drops Spring 2025, retailing for $140. If this pair has caught your eye, keep this page and our Sneaker Release Dates page within reach — we’ll keep both updated with info as it approaches.
