The Nike Air Max Plus continues to channel its late 1990s roots through old and new colorways. Following a run consisting of original gradients like the “Sunset” earlier this year, the Sean McDowell icon is setting its sights on another design theme made famous during its rollout. As seen here via official retailer images, Nike will revisit the model’s iconic “Wave Grid” pattern in 2025.
The delivery comes after Nike releases two original “Wave Grid” colorways in 2019; the last year we saw the celebrated design theme hit shelves. While this colorway can’t claim OG status, its palette and focal cues speak to 1990s aesthetics all the same. The upper makes use of “Pebble Grey” and “Lime,” bursting out in a wavy diamond pattern from the quarter Swoosh logos. A white leather mudguard and heel are matched by the TPU overlays, while “Pebble Grey” returns on the eyelets and lining. Both primary shades appear underfoot, with “Lime” electrifying the Air bubbles.
As stated above, TN fanatics will have to exercise patience as the shoes are currently projected to release in early 2025. Enjoy official retailer images below as anticipation builds and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview more upcoming Air Max deliveries.
