We were already ramping up discussions about the current “Nike Shox” moment, but seemingly every week, Beaverton ramps up its efforts around the springy retro tech. The upcoming addition of the Shox Ride 2 to the roster signals that the product line’s retro will only get more intense in 2025, but we can’t forget about the model that helped kick things off.

Though the Shox TL kicked off the renewed run when it returned to shelves in 2022, the Shox R4 wasn’t too far off, itself cropping up once again in 2023. Over that span, the two have essentially become gendered propositions, with the R4 centered as a women’s silhouette. In this “Orlando” application, delicate colors remain in focus; “Metallic Silver” and white set the tone up top, with deeper tones of royal blue and black primarily utilized on the sole unit. Darkening the underfoot section only emphasizes the sleek construction up top, realizing a sharp, pointed profile for this colorway as a whole.

The Nike Shox R4 “Orlando” lands in time for Spring 2025, arriving in men’s sizing for $150.
