Public reaction to the adidas Dame 9 has been a pleasant surprise; Lillard’s latest silo benefitting from the overhaul in adidas Basketball design language that similarly propelled the adidas Anthony Edwards 1 and the Harden Vol. 8. Despite the model only hitting the shelves in September, adidas is already taking the next step with the model, furnishing adidas.com with an associated addition in his price-conscious “Certified” line.
As you can see in product shots, most of what makes the Dame 9 so compelling remains for the adidas Dame Certified 3. The razor-sharp Three Stripes branding, foot entrance and pull tab, effectively comprising the midline of the shoe, stays intact. However, the defining split between the TPU exterior and a sock-like inner bootie is flattened to more traditional fare, while the sole swaps from premier Lightstrike tech to Bounce cushioning instead, classing this with adidas Basketball offerings like the its spiritual successor, the Dame 8 EXPTLY or the Adizero Select 2.0.
In this initial delivery, two sensible colorways are on offer. One paints the shoe almost entirely in “Cloud White,” saving space for chrome accenting on the Three Stripes and the heel tab. The other merges Milwaukee colors with skate sensibility, planting a gum sole underneath a black and pine green arrangement that’ll match the Bucks’ away jerseys.
The adidas Dame Certified 3 is available now via adidas.com, retailing at just $85 in men’s sizing. Kids’ sizing is also available, taking the price tag down even further to $65. Check out official images of either colorway ahead with respective “Where To Buy” sections attached for you to pick up your pair.
