While there are countless imprints in ASICS’ ouvre, no one can challenge the status of Kiko Kostadinov. The duo, whose relationship began in 2018, are nearing over 80 pairs of sneakers developed together. In the closing months of 2024, the ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 has emerged as a favorite, and two new UB10-S colorways are set to drop in short order.

The collection splits across one pair in “Hunter Green” and one in “Lavender Grey.” Beginning with the former, the shoe relies on the same formula eccentric tonality thhat’s become the Bulgarian designer’s calling card. The color choice is only further emphasized by the futuristic tweaks Kostadinov brings to the GEL-Kayano, including the new grid-like webbing that sits on the model’s mesh foundation.

That said, the “Lavender Grey” arguably reads as more innovative for long-time fans of Kiko studio work. Its reliance on neutral notes of white and grey reverse course from the designer’s design language, instead letting the shoe resemble mainline ASICS work despite its off-kilter composition.

Expect the ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 UB10-S in both “Glacier Grey” and “Hunter Green” to land this November with a retail price of $200.
