Canyon Pink Suedes Adorn This Women’s Nike Air Max 1

Another notch on the AM1's belt.

Canyon Pink Suedes Adorn This Women’s Nike Air Max 1

While palette swaps regularly draw the ire of sneakerheads for simple lack of originality, the Nike Air Max 1 seems to elude that treatment. Perhaps being one of the first collectible silhouettes will do that, opening the lane for a myriad of iterations on the original “Sport Royal” and “Sport Red” pairs from 1987. As a “Canyon Pink” colorway enters the fold for Holiday ’24, we’re again witnessing Beaverton’s willingness to leverage the legendary standing of Tinker Hatfield’s design.

In fact, this exact colorway has already appeared this year, with a previous Air Max 1 “Canyon Pink” reprising this style nearly note-for-note. For the true AM1 collectors, you’ll note that there’s a difference in suede, with the pair featured here taking on a more luxurious fabric than the traditional nubuck of mainline pairs.

Save for that, everything remains from that aforementioned edition. Even if there’s established precedent for this look, it’s hard to argue with any classically-styled Air Max 1, and you can do much worse than bringing some seasonal “Canyon Pink” flair for the upcoming spring season

Look for the Nike Air Max 1 “Canyon Pink” releasing in short order, with select stockists already receiving pairs. A global launch is tentatively set for November 21st, with retail at $140. Keep our Sneaker Release Dates page close by for any additional updates.
