Japan’s BEAMS Adds Silver Touches To The Reebok Instapump Fury ’94

Japan’s BEAMS Adds Silver Touches To The Reebok Instapump Fury ’94

Although Tokyo has always served as a mighty launch-pad for menswear labels, few have reached the global heights like Beams. Combining their distinct attention to with America fashion, Beams produces some of the best in-line apparel in the business, which is why boutique retailers across the globe can’t wait to stock their goods on their own shelves.

Alongside their standout garb, Beams has dabbled in sneaker collaborations here and there, although it’s certainly not their specialty. Working primarily with brands like Reebok and ASICS, the Harajuku-born label has been behind some of the most understated collaborations ever, often returning to the well of mis-matched colorblocking (see their recent New Balance 550).

Next up in their ongoing union with Reebok is the Instapump Fury ’94, a silhouette that is near and dear to the hearts of shoe mavens in the East. Relying on simplicity once more, Beams starts with a white sport mesh based layer with black accents on the toe as well as the neoprene on the mid-foot. A matte silver covers the exterior pump bladder, with black lines tracing out the interior chamber of air.

The straight-forward color treatment is apparent throughout, leaving the Beams x Reebok co-branding on the heel as the lone signifier of an actual collaborative project.

A launch has already occurred at Beams doors, but these are set to drop on November 7th, 2024 on Reebok.com for $230.
