adidas Clashes An Iconic EQT Sneaker With Modern Tech

Throwback running aesthetics meet current-day performance tech on the adidas EQT Agravic; a new trail runner poised to debut November 15th.

Here we have a case of “retro upper meets modern sole.” The top half of the shoe takes after famed adidas EQT models from the 1990s, namely the EQT Cushion with TPU stripes along the quarter. The base layer is comprised of durable Dyneema textile, natural overlays, complemented by three layers of paneling around the heel section for foot security. Underfoot, adidas calls in the same sole utilized on the Terrex Agravic Speed Ultra, the Three Stripes’ premier trail runner. The shoe comes from the same school as the adidas Aruku, another retro-inspired running silhouette, although the unlike the EQT Agravic, the Aruku isn’t necessarily intended for performance.

Two colorways are set to release in Europe on November 15th, one of which sports clear 1990s makeup with teal accents. The other strikes as more contemporary, taken in brown from heel to toe with soft pink accents. A retail price is set at €230, which translates roughly to $240. See official retailer images of both options below if you’re considering adding a pair to your collection.
