A sample teased back in June of this year, the Air Foamposite One “Black Volt” has surfaced via Nike official images ensuring a forthcoming release in 2025.
The Nike Air Foamposite One, among the most historically significant shoes in Nike Basketball history, is undergoing an uprise after years in a lull. At one point the most sought after sneaker for a good 18-month run, the Foamposites were shunned as sneakers tapered towards the slimmer, low-profile, knit-uppered look ushered in by Nike Flyknit and adidas Yeezy.
However, Foamposites are gaining back a chunk of the demographic for its iconic look, and with Nike bringing back original colorways in the Royal, retro marvels in the “Copper” and “Eggplant”, and even grail-status iterations like the “Galaxy“, the Nike Foamposites are back in the fray.
Dropping sometime in 2025 is this Black/Volt colorway of the 1997 classic. It opts for a sleek all-black upper on the molded foam, lace collar, and interior, while a punchy volt hue floods the semi-translucent bottoms and the upper accents. The One-Cent logo representative of Penny Hardaway matches in the same toxic green hue at the heel. The insoles boast an alternate colorways in black and neon.
As it stands, a release date hasn’t been confirmed, but you can expect an MSRP of $240. See the official images below as well as the sample images beneath.
