As the wider Nike catalog gears up in anticipation of cold weather that’s already creeping in, we’ve seen many of the Beaverton staple models get earthier in kind. The latest to take on that concept (once again) is the Nike Air Force 1, spinning into breezier hardware while keeping the seasonal spirit alive visually.
As promised in our title, canvas and suede combine across most of this shoe’s real estate. While notable in an of itself, also pay attention to how the overlays are transformed; Nike takes away the rearmost panel entirely, switching to a three stitch arrangement in lieu of it. Finally, the heel is partially remodeled, swapping the typical Swoosh laden branding for simplistic retro “Nike Air” text.
Though the lightweight material may not be your go-to for the colder months, there’s no denying the autumnal atmosphere that this shoe taps into with its color swatches of “Light Khaki/Gum Yellow/College Grey,” fit for the drier days in the upcoming winter season and maintaining its appeal as we look towards Spring/Summer.
This suede / canvas Nike Air Force 1 Low will hit shelves as part of Nike’s Spring slate. A retail price of $135 is expected. Enjoy official images embedded below.
Elsewhere for Bruce Kilgore’s design, the Concrete Boys Air Force 1 debuts at ComplexCon before a likely wide release.
