There was a point where it looked like this would be one of our leanest slates in recent memory, a proverbial “quiet before the storm” as brands started to unleash the full breadth of their end-of-year offerings. Some late-breaking additions prevent that, however, and it’s looking like another expensive week, particularly for Nike collectors.
A rare occurrence, a piece of authentic performance wear has a claim to being the most significant drop on the horizon, as the Kobe 6 “Grinch” cleats get an official release, already a staple of social media feeds after NFL stars across the league sported custom versions. Sticking with the Swoosh, the second half of the Monopoly x LeBron 22 capsule, the retro KD 4 “Christmas,” and a few notable collaborations (Makeway Nike P-6000, Anti-Hero Nike SBs, and A Ma Maniere Air Force 1 Low) should excite Beaverton devotees.
As always, brands outside of Oregon ensure some diversity in the upcoming crop. Quietly a rock-solid relationship, GANNI x New Balance returns for the debut of the Fresh Foam Trainer in two sporty colorways. adidas makes a subversive splash by teaming up with AVAVAV for a fingered version of the Superstar. Last but not least, sneakersnstuff and Salomon kick off their collaborative history with a winterized version of the XT-6.
As we always say, the above summary gives you a bird’s eye view of what’s on the horizon, but it is far from a complete one. For that, scroll ahead for our comprehensive list, including photos of each pair in question and hyperlinks pointing you to our more detailed coverage. As good practice, keep an eye on our Jordan Release Dates and Sneaker Release Dates landing pages for any late-breaking updates, but we’ll keep this page current with any additional info as well.
