adidas Introduces A Foam Runner Dupe Called The Lightblaze Moc

It’s been over two years since Kanye West and adidas stopped producing new shoes, but Ye’s influence still looms large over the Three Stripes. Come Spring 2025, adidas will aim fill the void left by the Yeezy Foam Runner with a similar yet different slip-on dubbed the Lightblaze Moc, shown here via official images.

Much like the extraordinarily influential Kanye West shoe, the Lightblaze Moc appears to be comprised entirely of foam. The foot entrypoint assumes a narrow shape, while the forefoot features five stripe cutouts for an almost claw-like appearance. adidas’ premier cushioning system appears to play a role as “Lightstrike” text appears on the lateral heel, while the outsole features diagonal tread. On top of the similar Foam Runner engineering, the two upcoming Lightblaze Moc colorways seen here scream Kanye DNA. Both looks make use of the marbled “MX” pattern the artist helped popularize, one of which comes in grey/blue while the other features green/pink over black.

The Lightblaze Moc comes to us at a time rife with new EVA slip-ons, with all the biggest brands aiming to replicate the success of Kanye’s adidas line in that respect. Notably, legendary footwear designer Steven Smith, who designed the Yeezy Foam Runner, was recently named Head Of Creative Innovation at Crocs.

adidas hasn’t set a firm release date for the Lightblaze Moc at the time of this writing, but the new slip-on is currently projected to debut during the Spring 2025 shopping season. Stick with us for all the latest updates.
