Andrew Rizzo Marvel, adidas, and UK retailer Size? are back with another superhero-inspired capsule. Following last year’s “Stark Industries” pack, their next effort commemorates Marvel’s 80th anniversary with a trio of Doctor Strange releases.
Each shoe is inspired by one of Doctor Strange’s sanctums, taking reference from New York, London, and Hong Kong. The adidas New York silhouette is the obvious model of choice for the big apple, incorporating Timberland-esque mustard yellow and a tasteful pop of light green on the stripes. London’s sanctum is embodied by the Gazelle Indoor, taken in soothing sage green with white detailing, while the superhero’s Hong Kong retreat is represented by a playful blue and pink Handball Spezial. Metallic gold Marvel x adidas co-branding appears on the tongue of each pair, complemented by the emblems of each respective sanctum on the heel.
