West NYC Conjures Up The Magical adidas Gazelle Indoor “Wizard”

WestNYC (literally) spellbinds with their latest collab.

West NYC Conjures Up The Magical adidas Gazelle Indoor “Wizard”

If you aren’t located in the Big Apple and haven’t perused stock at their Upper West Side location, the words “West NYC” are likely synonymous with their spree of Saucony and New Balance collaborations in the mid 2010s, minting about a half dozen suede runners that excelled in the sneakerhead “underground” at the time of their release. However, since about 2016, the Manhattan retailer has stepped out of the collaboration ring by and large. It seems they’re finally ready to throw their hat back into the ring, pulling back the curtain on their first adidas collab, the West NYC Gazelle Indoor “Wizard.”

As the costumed campaign images would indicate, kitschy robed spellcasters are guiding light in this design, lending a regal purple to the lifestyle classic and reflective gold accenting alongside it. Perhaps most eye catching is the translucent gradient midsole they plant on the adidas Gazelle, concluding with a classic gum bottom underfoot.

Additionally, the shoe’s magical namesake slides in the place of typical co-branding details, with a vectorized Merlin figure on the tongue and heel, fullest developed with a metal hangtag that sports the retailer’s name and a Trefoil logo embedded in a crystal ball. To that end, West NYC certainly didn’t skimp on the peripherals for this release; a silken dust bag, multiple metallic charms and sets of purple, gold and white ribbon laces arrive with each pair.

Retail pricing hasn’t been announced just yet, but the West NYC adidas Gazelle Indoor “Wizard” releases on December 14th, exclusively through West NYC channels (in-store and online.)
