The Bape Sta Icon Doubles Up On The Shooting Star Logo

Sneakerheads are familiar with A Bathing Ape’s Bape Sta, but the Japanese streetwear brand also has a handful of spinoff models that feature their own, unique defining hallmarks. The Bape Sta Icon is one of their newest, introduced in March of 2024.

The Icon stands out by way of a doubled-down shooting star logo across the quarter. The insignia appears in a traditional manner much like the Swoosh of Nike’s Air Force 1, but also makes use of blank space opened up by cutouts in nearby panels. This pink and purple patent leather mix is BAPE’s latest entry, complete with black laces and a white midsole underfoot.

The purple patent leather Bape Sta Icon is available now via Sneaker Politics, retailing for $300. See official retailer images below if you’re considering adding a pair to your rotation.
