As the New Balance 1906R rolls on in a run of street style dominance, the Y2K model is tooling up with a combination of icy white and “Team Royal.”

Typically tending towards the neutral side of things, it’s a refreshing switch-up to see the New Balance 1906R in such starkly bright afre. Most of the shoe’s real estate is dominated by snowy tonality, with the branching overlays up top carrying some metallic chrome hues that’ve become a staple of 2000s-inspired footwear. In truth, the titular “Team Royal” accents only make scattered appearances, dotting most of the branding notes and peering through the wide-mesh foundation on the tongue. Though matching wintry outfits is clearly the intention with this pair, the accessible palette ensures year-round wearability, all the more reason to take a hard look at this edition if you don’t already have the 1906R in your rotation.
