Nike’s New $90 Tech Runner Debuts Spring 2025

The Beaverton brand's stab at the $100-or-less market is coming soon.

Nike’s New $90 Tech Runner Debuts Spring 2025

Nike is entering the cost-conscious tech runner market with a new model called the V5 RNR, currently set to debut during the Spring 2025 shopping season.

While the trending Vomero 5 is popular among models like the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 and New Balance 1906R in the $150 range, Nike hasn’t truly embraced the $100-or-less market as its competitors have. The V5 RNR is poised to face off against the GEL-1130 and New Balance 530 in the more wallet-friendly range, clocking in at just $90.

The formula for Y2K-inspired tech runners is well established, and that’s largely what we see here. The upper of the V5 RNR features a mesh base and synthetic quarter cage akin to that of the Vomero 5, complemented by a segmented, grooved midsole underfoot. Two of the three colorways previewed below feature metallic silver overlays over a white base, while the third clocks in with all-black treatments.

As mentioned, the V5 RNR is currently set to debut during the Spring 2025 shopping season for $90. Be on the lookout for these three colorways and more in the very near future.
