LeBron James’ love for Monopoly continues to shine through his signature shoes. Following the release of collaborative “Token” and “Currency” LeBron 22s as well as a game board inspired by LeBron’s career, we just got a first look at yet another game night-inspired 22 colorway.
While Nike hasn’t officially announced a nickname, a multi-color, tie-dye upper makes for a clear “What The” aesthetic. While traditional “What The” shoes pull in elements from past colorways, the LeBron 22 “What The Monopoly” combines different colors found on the classic game board. What’s important to note here is the shoe’s material composition. Save for the tongue and lining, the entire upper is crafted out of canvas, including the midfoot panel that runs down below the outsole.
It’s not clear when the LeBron 22 “What The Monopoly” will arrive at this stage, so return periodically to our Sneaker Release Dates hub for timely updates. In the meantime, enjoy detailed images below.
