The following was published December 25th, 2024:

As we turn the calendar to 2025, Air Max is stepping into the fore once again as the yearly Air Max Day festivities draw closer. For the brand holiday and new year slate generally, the Air Max Craze, Air Max Muse and Air Max DN8 are expected to be main focuses, but of course we can’t forget about the most iconic models. New looks for the Air Max 1 have begun to surface with some regularity, including a new “Light Orewood Brown” makeup that just the newswire.

Air Max collectors will note the mini Swoosh at the forefoot, a touch we’ve seen in the very recent past and one that’s seemingly gaining steam with inline Air Max 1 pairs. While the infusion of the semi-sunny shade across the mudguard and Swoosh brings some new animated energy to the model, it relies on the same OG-styled color-blocking that’s been a staple ever since the original “Sport Red” and “Sport Blue,” meaning this offers up some timeless appeal despite the novel colorway.

Expect the Nike Air Max 1 “Light Orewood Brown” this Spring, retailing at the customary $140 figure.
