Basketball shoes is already a vibrant category, tending towards attention-grabbing on-court looks, but Nike has turned things up to 11 with their grade school offerings. Be it the summer “Welcome to Camp” pack or the “King of the Court” collection, some of the most off-the-wall designs out of Beaverton have come by way of kids’ hoops shoes. It appears we’ve got another capsule on our hands, as the LeBron 22 is joining a similarly clad Ja 2 for release in the new year.
The uniting theme for this growing collection isn’t super apparent without , but James pairs up with Morant’s edition with ameoba-like shapes darting across the upper. Bucking the top/bottom split that defines most colorways of this shoe, the print stretches through the inset Swoosh as well. Zooming out, the threaded interior in the tongue and midsole trim each communicate the royal gilded tones we’ve seen plenty on LeBron shoes in the past, a notable bit of contrast for this otherwise patriotic profile.
The Nike LeBron 22 featured here is expected to release in Spring 2025, retailing for $140 upon arrival. Check out official images included below.
