Since our last time catching the patented fabric in use by the Boston brand, they’ve switched up its application. Rather than a single-layer backing of ripstop or similar material, it’s worked into the prototypical mesh build of the shoe, ushering in a hardier composition without sacrificing the silhouette’s central aesthetic.
Additionally, though the off-white, grey, and earthy brown double down of the utility-minded lean of the collection, the pair in navy and light blue takes a sharp turn into the vibrant fare that New Balance has shown off more and more with the 1906R. Regardless of which colorway speaks to you most, the selling point of this collection remains a way to bring the trendy model into your winter rotation without giving up on weather-readiness.
