Andrew Rizzo adidas’ latest batch of Superstars is giving major Americana vibes. Here we have two denim colorways featuring unique stitching, leather lining, and other jean-inspired touches, currently slated to release January 9th via the adidas website.
Light and dark wash colorways are on tap, both of which aptly feature purl stitched stripes in lockstep with the overarching jean aesthetic. Cream-colored rubber shell toes give way to matching midsoles, while tan leather comprises the interior lining. Blue TPU eyelets are also utilized on both looks, save for the upper eyestays which come in metallic gold. Capping off the delivery around the heel, the opposite sides of the main denim fabrics are featured on the backtabs.
These look plenty clean as is, but as with all denim shoes, they’ll give way to a compelling distressed aesthetic with enough wear over time. Moreover, while it may be difficult for casuals to distinguish, adidas opts for the Superstar 82 silhouette as opposed to the modern cut here (the main difference is a slimmer, leather interior).
