An Aquatic Gradient Crashes On The Nike Air Pegasus Wave

Nobody likes a remix more than Nike. That’s why before the ink was even dry on the return of the Nike Pegasus 2k5, the Nike Air Pegasus Wave began to circulate, its first colorway landing just months after the Peg proper reappeared. With the two now sharing shelf space, the Wave is starting to work out its own trademark design language, something that the latest “Football Grey” variation goes a long way in accomplishing.

Nike has primarily played the Wave’s parent model as a down-the-middle tech runner, clad in palettes you can easily find on competitors like the New Balance 1906R or ASICS GEL-Kayano 14. However, as this and the “Safety Orange” look would indicate, this offshoot is anything but conventional. A similar gradient cage plays out on this edition, swapping fiery notes for “Football Grey” and “Green Strike” hues that execute a chilly, oceanic theme.

The Nike Air Pegasus Wave “Football Grey” releases on January 23rd, carrying a $160 retail price.
