A common sight over the past few years, 2025 is already shaping up to be another busy year for the Nike Cortez. In the spotlight via two inclusions in the Nike Valentine’s Day 2025 slate and indirectly via the Book 1 “Forrest Gump,” you won’t be wanting for general release colorways this year, either, a crop that the “Light Silver” colorway on hand kicks off.

It’s a calm, simplistic pair of the 70’s silhouette, utilizing the titular steel shade across a silky synthetic body and suede interruptions down the midline and at the heel. True to form, the trademark stripe in the midsole also arrives in neutral fashion, while edge details like the rest of the sole unit, the Swoosh and the tongue arrive in pure white. While there’s never a bad time to roll out this sort of clean colorway, muggy conditions countrywide make this one all the more fitting, additionally letting the timeless construction of the shoe take center stage as it enters 2025.
