John Kim Hoop, Forrest, Hoop! With the Nike Book 1 “Forrest Gump” is set to launch on January 22nd, Devin Booker has opted to lace up this Player Exclusive gem, but with a home-town twist.
If you recall, Booker wore the Cortez-inspired PE way back in April 2024, although the initial pair was a bit different than the retail version hitting stores in Spring 2025. The upper is now a full leather to be truly accurate in regards to the 1970s-era runner, just as it is with this new Player Exclusive debuted by Devin on January 11th, 2025.
Swapping out the iconic red and blue, Nike has opted for the standard Phoenix Suns look, applying purple on the Swoosh, heel-tab, and tongue while orange hits the signature strip on the midsole.
Amazingly simple in execution, this latest Book 1 PE lends the question: should Nike bring this model to Nike By You?
