Amid leaks and updates on what the Jumpman had in store for its 40th anniversary, a surprising colorway was added to the 2025 slate when the Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe Reimagined” slid back from its planned October 2024 launch. With that pair’s spotlighted status, landing during the always-competitive All-Star Weekend, there are some natural ripple effects felt in Beaverton — something the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Dark Pony” can attest to.
Leveraging increased attention on a coveted retro release to increase the profile of inline drops is a formula Jordan fans should easily recognize by now.
