When we first uncovered the shoe back in October 2023, the internet seemed to go wild over this enhanced iteration of the Air Max Plus. It maintained the heart and soul of the source material while adding some gorp-core elements via the bolstered outsole and the beefed-up exterior cage. On paper and in photos, the Air Max Plus Drift looked like it was ready to take over.
However, the first impression didn’t really match the consumer activity. The shoes are admittedly bulky due to the added armor, and outside of the triple-black edition, there hasn’t been that one statement piece by the silhouette. This just means there’s room for growth for this underrated model.
