2025 will be a huge year for the Air Max 95 as it rings in 30 years on shelves, but the Air Max 90 is putting on a clinic of its very own. On top of a collaboration with British-Nigerian designer Slawn, the Tinker Hatfield icon is rolling out two inline packs that are applaudable to say the least. Spring 2025 will see the release of a “Camo Pack” as well another mini-series inspired by racing, the latter of which now includes this “Neutral Grey/Obsidian” colorway.
Just as we saw with the red “Racing Pack” colorway, the design theme gets tipped off on the insoles. NASCAR-style “90” numbering appears alongside script “Air Max” text, thus making all the exterior design choices a bit more dissectible. The top half of the shoe favors “Neutral Grey,” while the mudguard and midsole appear in “Obsidian” for a sleek, aerodynamic aesthetic thanks to the model’s distinct sharp panels. The Swoosh, tongue branding, and “Nike Air” backtab text all appear in “Tour Yellow,” producing a “Michigan” vibe in lockstep with the “Obsidian” treatments, while “Speed Red” makes a short cameo on the mudguard window. As far as materials go, the next “Racing” Air Max 90 keeps things consistent with a suede quarter and perforated leather across the base.
The Air Max 90 “Racing” in “Neutral Grey/Tour Yellow/Obsidian/Speed Red/White” is expected to arrive Spring 2025, although a firm release date and MSRP have yet to be announced. Keep our Sneaker Release Dates page handy for all the latest updates over the coming months.
