Continuing a mighty series of limited-issue Air Jordan 1 releases for the annual Zodiac customs, Jordan Brand has crafted an Air Jordan 1 “Xuanwu” to commemorate the Year Of The Snake. Limited to just 3,399 pairs, this breathtaking design nods to those Eastern traditions with elegant armor plating and tortoise-shell coloring.
The official nickname pertains to a high-ranking deity in Taoism. He is often depicted as a warrior wearing dark-colored imperial robes, a theme that is apparent in this breathtaking design. The plating on the heel and Swoosh are very similar to the armor worn by the figure.
Xuanwu is often depicted with tortoises and snakes; the former manifests via the dark brown and amber hues on the outsole, Wings logo, and the slide-out packaging; the snake takes shape via the textured leather on the toe-guard and ankle collar.

A release is likely arriving in January or February alongside the rest of the Jordan Brand “Year Of The Snake” collection. However, it is exclusive to the Greater China region and will have an MSRP of $355. See our Jordan Release Dates 2025 page for the latest.
