Andrew Rizzo After coming to a settlement with Nike that forced changes to its footwear line, BAPE’s newly-reworked BAPE STA quietly debuted in late 2024. We unpacked a few simple black and white looks upon the new version’s arrival, but this upcoming trio of colorways stands out as a more sensible vessel to help re-introduce the BAPE STA to the masses.
BAPE spreads its ABC CAMO theme across the pack, delivering green, blue, and red camo print to the logos and laces of all three shoes. The gorilla logo can be spotted within the star and on the lateral side of the heel, also making a cameo as a metallic silver lace dubrae. As for the key tooling changes, the toe and heel panels are now curved so as to produced a more rounded quarter section, and outsole no longer borrows the Air Force 1’s distinguishable grooved edge.
