Matt Varga There are plenty of yearly editions that Nike is beholden to delivering on a yearly basis — in different ways, the debut of the Ja 2, Air Max Muse, and Vaporfly 4 all equally speak to that constant envelope-pushing. Yet one of the big storylines for hardcore Nike enthusiasts like us is when we’ll get the next step in Vapormax, a line that hasn’t introduced a member since the Vapormax Flyknit 2023. While we look forward to the 2k25 edition, one of the mainstays is making another appearance with the Vapormax Plus “Parachute Beige.”
Remaining a best-seller since its 2018 introduction, the model has taken a quality over quantity approach with its recent colorways, only introducing about half a dozen new editions in 2024. It remains to be seen whether that’ll be the strategy in the new year, but Nike is still holding up the quality end of the formula with the Vapormax Plus, utilizing resplendent gold shading throughout a tonal upper and emphasizing the cushioning unit with clear contrast underfoot.
