The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Escape” Is Returning Soon

A bring-back two decades later.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Escape” Is Returning Soon

Amid the usual cadence of leaks and first looks, both Nike’s SNKRS Showcase series and its “Cult Classic” program provide a breath of fresh air, announcements regarding new product and old ones without any sense of ambiguity or potential dubiousness, just news straight from the source on what to expect. Those two enterprises combined in the middle of 2024 with the announcement of the Air Force 1 Low “Escape,” now inching towards release as stores begin to receive their pairs.

For a quick history lesson, the “Escape” colorway rose to prominence as one of the first notable choices for the Air Force 3, becoming infamous for sporting the title on its tongue rather than typical “Air Force” text. Working in descending order, the earthy palette then draped the Air Force 2 in 2003, before becoming fully street-ready with the Air Force 1 in 2005. Nigo debuting his own Air Force 3 inspired by the shoe in the early cycle for the eventual public release also gave an extra shot in the arm to the archival colorway.

As the shoe nears its 20th birthday, the 2025 Air Force 1 “Escape” revives the shoe in faithful fashion, ushered in with the suede overlays each delivering complementary shades of brown, the black liner and overall trim, and one of the most lasting aspects, a perforated leather quarter panel that matches the toe-box.

Again, given that multiple stockists have already started getting stock in-hand, we should be seeing a release for the Nike Air Force 1 “Escape” in short order. Expect a $150 retail price upon arrival — keep our Sneaker Release Dates page handy for additional updates down the line.
