When the Mike Wazowski Crocs first hit the newswire, we at Sneaker News and you in the audience had the same reaction — what about Sulley? Fears that the dynamic duo, bound together since their university days, were being split up during step into footwear can now be assuaged, as the baritone beast is gracing the Sulley Crocs Cozzzy Sandal.
A relatively new entrant to the Crocs family (2022), the Cozzzy Sandal is a fitting silhouette for this furry foray, already utilizing plush fabrics in its general release looks. Fully committing to that angle with Sulley’s light blue and purple spotting only takes a bit of a further pushes it in that comfort-minded direction. Though a bit hard to parse out through the hairy layers, the shoe’s construction remains the same underneath, with two straps providing lockdown on the Slipper. Much the same way Mike’s horns appear attached to his Classic Clog, Sulley’s jut out from the top strap, while his ID card appears clipped onto the lower.
For those who didn’t catch our original coverage of the Mike Wazowski Crocs, the Monsters Inc. protagonist is still a principal character, quite literally bringing his cycloptic mug to the company’s iconic design.
