Jordan Just Dropped “Skyline” GORE-TEX Jackets With The Iconic Jumpman

The slate of Jordan releases commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1 is moving beyond footwear and into apparel. Jordan Brand is coming out with GORE-TEX jackets that feature the iconic “Skyline” photo from 1985; the source of the world-famous Jumpman logo. UPDATE: Available NOW here from Nike for $500.

It’s since been made clear that the Nike-owned image was inspired by a New Balance photoshoot from 1984, but Nike isn’t one to let ambiguity get in the way of a good narrative. For example; the black and red Air Ship was the original “banned” shoe, not the Air Jordan 1.

The GORE-TEX jacket would have been a perfect complement to 2022’s “Skyline” Jordan 1, but JB’s obvious intention is to create energy for the “Black Toe Reimagined” Jordan 1 landing February 15th. Jordan was wearing “Black Toe” AJ1s when he soared through the skyline, specifically an early sample featuring “Air Jordan” lettering as opposed to the wings logo. As you’re probably well aware by now, the “reimagined” release features the very same defining quality.

The “Skyline” GORE-TEX jacket is already available in big kid’s sizes here ($130), meaning adult sizes should follow in the very near future for $500. See official images below if you’re considering adding one to your wardrobe.
