Despite the “floating” appearance of the new exterior, there’s no risk of detachment: a thin ribbon at the front anchors it to the body, as do the laces as the new addendum doubles for eye-stays. With how audiences responded to the New Balance 9060 “Black Cat” proper, delivering this fresh composition in an entirely stealthy look is a savvy move — all that’s left to see is whether NB can strike twice once this pair hits the market.
In lieu of a concrete release date, expect the New Balance 9060 appearing on the NB site in the coming weeks. Despite the changes, retail remains at $150.
