The Nike Air Max 95 GS “Cool Grey” Shifts Back To A Standard Build

2025 marks the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95, and with how seriously Nike takes birthdays, it’s set to be a massive celebration. That’ll come with splashy moments the Nike SB Air Max 95, bbut more tangibly through a healthy crop of mainline offerings. A fresh general release has just surfaced with a “Black/Cool Grey/Light Smoke Grey/Aurora Green” colorway, but the new do reveals that some OG hardware we spotted earlier might not be a consistent touch.

To be transparent, it’s the lack of the “bubble seam” debuted on an earlier kids’ pair that’s absent here, certainly taking air out of the theory that the OG-minded construction planned for shoes like the Air Max 95 “Neon” would be making a full return. Instead, we’re left to the run-of-the-mill AM95 build, which to be clear, still delivers one of the more iconic silhouettes of all time. That evergreen appeal is only hardened by a striking greyscale profile, interrupting a jet black base with a stripe of “Cool Grey” and “Light Smoke Grey,” closing out with flares of “Aurora Green” branding.

The Nike Air Max 95 “Cool Grey” should land on Nike.com and retail shelves in the near future, retailing at a $150 price point. As of this writing, it’s unclear whether adult sizes will also follow. For the latest on that, watch our Sneaker Release Dates.
