The Nike Shox R4 Gets Trendy With A “Black/Red” Look

The piston-loaded model queues up a fiery edition.

The Nike Shox R4 Gets Trendy With A “Black/Red” Look

Even if the official release is now in the past, looking back, few stories will have as much impact in 2025 as the Jordan 1 “Bred.” While the heavy promo effort behind the shoe certainly raised its profile this time around, any time the OG “Banned” returns to shelves, it’s a major headline, likely why black and red remains a dominant scheme throughout the Beaverton catalog. Here, the everlasting combination graces another frequent face, emerging via the Nike Shox R4 “Black/Red.”

Elsewhere in the vertical, the Nike Shox TL has been pushing things into more unconventional territory with gradient and printed looks, but this goes to show that the R4 is still at home wearing simplified outfits. The molded exterior shell gets a heavy dose of fire red, keeping the rest of the shoe primarily in jet black. The sole interruptions come in metallic silver via the closing details, including graphic reflective stamps throughout and the titular piston cushioning in the heel.

The Nike Shox R4 “Black/Red” should be hitting shelves for the Spring 2025 shopping season, carrying the typical $150 retail price. Check out a complete gallery of official images ahead and stay tuned for direct “Where to Buy” links via our Sneaker Release Dates page.
