Sneaker News Woth Sabrina Ionescu ready to embark on her first-ever Asia tour next week, Nike has a special launch planned to commemorate this key milestone moment for the signature athlete. In collaboration with TITAN of the Philippines, Nike will launch a spirited Sabrina 2 designed by prominent individuals of the country’s footwear and art community.
TITAN’s infusion of Filipino heritage and the country’s love of the game is expressed through a collaborative execution by Titan’s own Alessah Papa and visual artists Aila Torre and Lari Gazmen. The concept has its roots in three graphic elements: the Fire Spinner plant on the right insole is reflected in the gradient coloring of the Swoosh logo, also representing the fiery passion for basketball shared by Ionescu and the women’s basketball community in the island cluster. The left insole illustrates a metaphor for all who will soon witness the growing impact of women’s basketball. Behind the tongues are the “Make Space” mantra, which was first introduced in a Nike GT Cut advertisement featuring the WNBA champion, and a visual that combines a Tangram puzzle with Bauhaus shapes.
On March 11th, coinciding with Ionescu’s first stop of her first-ever Asia Tour, Titan will host the 2025 Show Her Love Tournament Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The first launch of the collaboration will occur that day at Titan and the NBA Store in the Philippines. Following the drop in the Philippines, limited launches are also scheduled on March 15th in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Nike South East Asia. The global launch of the Sabrina 2 by Titan will conclude the launch on March 22nd.
