New Balance Brings Down A “Landslide” 550 For Women

Believe it or not, it’s been almost five full years since the New Balance 550 returned by way of an Aimé Leon Dore collaboration. The retro basketball-turned-lifestyle model isn’t nearly as trendy as it was a few years ago, but we’d be remiss to ignore its after effects. There’s a significant body of consumers out there who made the 550 their first ever New Balance shoe, thus making a shift into tech runners like the 2002R and 1906R more seamless had the 550 not had its heyday.

Ahead of the warmer months, New Balance just released a pastel “Sea Salt/Landslide” 550 for women. Fulfilling a tried-and-true vintage aesthetic, leather “Sea Salt” paneling is matched by more of the off-white hue on the laces and midsole. The most noteworthy quality here is the New Balance logo, which appears in perforated suede as opposed to standard leather. More perforated “Landside” suede appears on toe box and collar, balanced out by grey suede in tandem with “Sea Salt.”

As mentioned, the “Sea Salt/Landslide” 550 for women is available right now via the New Balance website. See our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links.
