Unless you’ve been living under a rock since February, you’re well familiar with the new chapter that Luka Doncic is currently amid as a member of the Lakers. While a motorsports-themed activation at his first home game signaled that the Jumpman was ready to take full advantage of his new major market status, they raised the stakes shortly after with an on-court debut of the Luka 4 a bit ahead of when its predecessor emerged in 2024. The brand is now letting loose specific details about what to expect with both Wonder Boy’s latest signature and its off-shoot, the Luka .77.

Aesthetically, the new silhouette aligns with our expectations to this point, boasting a low-cut, rounded overall profile with a curvilinear interruption interrupting its lower half. As promised in both our title and Jordan’s, the most notable development is the inclusion of Zoom Air, a standard throughout other Jordan hoops offerings that makes its debut in Doncic’s line with the Luka 4.  We also can’t discount the continuing development of the IsoPlate technology, a tacit signature of the Luka line to this point. By creeping through the midsole, it accomplishes both propulsion and lockdown, fitting goals for a player with the skill package that Doncic boasts.

Jordan Brand tips off four colorways in this initial announcement: the white/green “Space Navigator” worn by Luka in campaign shots, the black/red “Bloodline,” lavender/yellow “Gone Fishing,” and an unseen “Lake Bled” edition. Longtime readers at Luka fans at large will remember the Luka 2 colorway of the same name, referencing a Slovenian landmark leveraged during the Luka 3 lineage.

Cut then to the Luka .77. Initially reported as a lifestyle shoe before its off-shoot status was revealed on the hardwood, the model carries the reduced retail pricing of previous Jumpman takedowns but instead capitalizes on an outdoors hoops label. The key tech aspect accommodating that is high abrasion mesh in the upper and full-length rubber in the outsole, either detail allowing the shoe to hold up to the rigors of concrete courts. Additionally, the dual-density foam in the midsole seeks to both cushion the wearer and hold up to harder impact.

The Luka 4 and Luka .77 tip off on April 8th, retailing for $130 and $100. Check out some in-action shots of both shoes included below and watch our Jordan Release Dates page for direct pick-up links upon arrival.
