The Nike SB Dunk Low “Rodeo” Drops On May 9th

Updated May 1st, 2025: The Nike SB Dunk Low “Rodeo” is now listed on SNKRS for a May 9th release, retailing for $135. Expect skate outlets to also receive stock a bit earlier, with some already listing the shoe for May 7th. Re-familiarize yourself with this release via the official images below.

The Nike SB calendar is beginning to heat up. Though it may not be the belle of the resale market any longer, that hasn’t come with any drop in overall interest. For months, we’ve known about many of this year’s biggest releases, from the Nike SB Yuto Horigome to the Supreme Nike SB capsule. A member of that crowd is now coming into clear view with official images of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Tourmaline” aka Nike SB Dunk “Rodeo”.

The pair was initially reported and regarded as a return to the yearly Nike SB BHM release, but as February crept into the rearview, that theory began to lose credence. Despite missing that purported launch window, the inspiration for this pair is still assumedly steeped in similar subject matter, a celebration of the earliest cowboys. We’ll wait for official word on the matter from Swoosh accounts, but given the prolonged rollout for this shoe (nearly half a year elapsing between our first look and these official shots), a few outlets have already connected the dots between the palette here and some totemic early Western films.

Though the silken liner, overriding “Tourmaline” tonality and this Nike SB Dunk Low’s additional vibrant touches help modernize the profile, the historical atmosphere is still plenty notable. For specific details, look to the cracked leather heel tag, tan piping, and rich brown suede that runs through the collar. A tangible accessory also carries that motif, with a yellow handkerchief mirroring the insole graphic, depicting a sunset vignette of the Wild West with Nike SB branding and the motto “100% Fast – What’s Gonna Happen Is Gonna Happen.” The tongue tag carries similar inspirational messaging for one final flourish: “Certified for the real riders, crafted for the modern cowboy.”

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Tourmaline” was initially penciled in to drop via SNKRS on March 28th, retailing for $135, but currently the release date is TBD. As with most Swoosh skateboarding products, expect skate shops to begin letting loose their stock a bit earlier than that.
