noir kei ninomiya’s Reebok Instapump Fury High-Top Boots Is Unreal

Kei Ninomiya has captivated the fashion world with his mix of punk and delicate aesthetic, sparking even more curiosity through his surrealistic and mysterious Fall-Winter 2025 campaign earlier this month. Enhanced by bioluminescent fixtures on 3D-printed headpieces and sculpture-like bodywear, Ninomiya’s March showing proves that he has the vision to carry the next generation of Japanese fashion for years to come.

Under the tutelage of Comme des Garçons’ Rei Kawakubo, Kei branched off from pattern-maker and clothing maker for the Japanese imprint to operating his own label under the CDG family. With that comes an increase in collaborative projects which has resulted in an ongoing partnership with Reebok.

Today, we get a closer look at the noir kei ninomiya x Reebok Instapump Fury completely reimagined to befit the darkly feminine vibe of the collection. According to Reebok and the label, this collaboration utilizes resin for textures and emphasizes the handiwork required to create such ornate pieces.

From our perspective, this classic Instapump Fury is enhanced with a extra-platformed sole and a boot-like ankle cut. Upon closer inspection, the “Pump” aspect has been removed, leaving the lightly puffed out upper cage to be a cosmetic decision; this is unlike their more delicate floral execution of the Instapump Fury which featured the cushion tech intact.

Images shared by Reebok via photographers Mélanie Rey and Matthew Reeves reveal both a high-top and a low-top version – both with the thick soles and sans-Pump. Although firm release information hasn’t been disclosed, we expect these to drop during the latter half of the year as part of the noir kei ninomiya FW25 collection.
