Nike Pumps Premium Gas Into The Air Max 1 “Cave Stone”

Arriving Summer 2025

Nike Pumps Premium Gas Into The Air Max 1 “Cave Stone”

The original Air Max Day honored the one that started it all — the Air Max 1. Since then, the annual tradition has branched out considerably as Nike looks to expand the Air Max lineage into the next generation with innovative lifestyle models like the Air Max DN8. Icons like the Air Max 1 are a hard act to follow, especially when the Swoosh is still delivering strong colorways such as the upcoming “Cave Stone”.

Revealed via official images, this Nike Air Max 1 features a premium execution via the pleasing mix of materials not often seen on the ’87 classic. It starts with the suede mudguard in Cave Stone, a canvas twill quarter and heel in a light tan, and hits of a golden Chamois on the eyelets, visible Air cushion, and on the logo hits on the heel and tongue.

Years ago, these would’ve flown off the shelves, but 2025 is truly a different era for the Air Max heritage series. Nike has some strategizing to do in order to regain the energy around this nearly four-decade-old style.

That said, expect these soon on Nike.com for $160, but practice some patience and these can be had for under the MSRP.
