Sneaker News We’ve gone from being largely unaware of what Beaverton’s plans were for the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95 to nearly drowning in new editions in just a matter of days. Rather than bringing in just one or two looks featuring the return of the “Big Bubble,” Nike creatives have brought that beloved OG touch to the full range of upcoming offerings, marching on with the “Jade Horizon” Air Max 95.
It’s a complete acceptance of the neutral and the earthy with this colorway, a concept the model has always been particularly suited to given its geological origin story. While off-white “Photon Dust” takes up most of the real estate here, including two of the iconic stripes at the quarter, the swatch of “Jade Horizon” sits (literally and figuratively) at the center of this edition, bringing in a tinted-up Air Max and additional suede stripes along with it.
While, again, the seamed cushioning in the midsole remains the headline in this latest chapter for the silhouette, this marks another pair where the 2000s design language of the model is in clear view, surely welcome news for those who have clamored for a return to its golden age.
The Nike Air Max 95 “Jade Horizon,” as well as many of the other looks we’ve covered in recent memory, should begin appearing on Nike.com and at partnering retailers for the Summer shopping season, retailing at $190 in women’s sizing.
