LeBron James’ status as the Nike athlete of the past two decades has always afforded him more creative release strategies than his peers on the roster. Poke through all the silhouettes dropped over that span for proof — on top of signature models, he’s gotten multiple takedown lines, an extended retro run revisiting his own releases, and even his own training silhouette. There’s an argument that his NXXT series is the most unique of that group. Simultaneously turning the clock back to his first signature shoe and keeping an eye on the future, the LeBron NXXT Genisus carves out a second leg in the budding line, teeing up a quartet of fresh looks as we enter the Summer 2025 shopping season.
As mentioned, much the same way the original NXXT Gen AMPD spins off the shape of the OG Air Zoom Generation, the NXXT Genisus maintains similar geometry yet comes with an upgraded tech package expected of modern basketball shoes, maintaining the titular cushioning but adding a midfoot plate and a breezier mesh upper. The dense geometric patterns and doubled Swoosh seen across all four of these looks are the aesthetic calling card, venturing into eye-catching territory that marks a sharp left turn from the more classical stylings of his first signature.
In kind with that shift, each of the Summer outfits featured here carries vibrant color swatches: “Bright Crimson” and “Barely Volt” pairs issue hi-vis takes. In contrast, the pink and blue editions still carry a warm-weather atmosphere but tone things down when it comes to overall saturation. Expect the Nike LeBron NXXT Genisus colorways at hand to begin releasing in April, each of these four clocking in at $150.
