A late addition, or a standalone project?

Better Late Than Never: The Nike Air Max Plus Is Celebrating The Year Of The Snake

The Year Of The Snake celebrations are behind us as Nike has already unleashed a wide variety of themed drops highlighted by the Zoom Kobe 5 Protro “Year Of The Mamba” edition. However, it seems that there are some lingering units floating around, like this newly revealed Air Max Plus.

Revaeled in a Pale Ivory and Cave Stone colorway, this Tuned Air classic appears with strong strong influence from the slithering symbol. Snakeskin textures reminiscent of the exotic material on the Air Jordan 12 appear all across the exterior mudguard as well as the heel, while a textile pattern covered the interior to expand its reach.

We will point out, however, that the motifs aren’t quite in alignment with the official Year Of The Snake deliveries. The snake-wrapped Tuned Air logo in particular seems to be exclusive to this release, because there hasn’t been a comparable one just yet. This suggests that this reptilian costume is independent of the earlier collection, so there’s a possibility for other NSW icons like the trending Air Max 95 to join in.

Regardless of its connections to the annual Eastern tradition, this Air Max Plus is set to arrive on Nike.com soon.
