The enduring dominance of the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 may overshadow the success of the ASICS GEL-NYC in blogosphere, but in any metropolitian city, you’re likely seeing a decent amount of the AWAKE-assisted product. Obviously that’s prompted the Japanese giant to line the shelves with sensible looks for each season, and a quick jaunt onto their site reveals that many are either entirely gone or nearing sell-outs.

The look in question sticks around in the neutral home base that we’ve spotted on the model throughout its lifespan, utilizing a range of “Cream” shades on its upper half before dimming its profile with heavy doses of “Moonrock” underfoot. What really gives this shoe its character are the flares of red in the exposed GEL units and on the embroidered GEL tag on the heel.
