In case you missed it, Coachella kicked off this weekend, with Travis Scott penciled in as one of the headlining acts for the two-part music festival out in the Californian desert. Leveraging the mass crowd of youths and Cactus Jack fans that will be on location, Nike has teamed up with its top collaborator to create “The Village”, a 1.5 acre compound located right next to the main stage.
While it’s unclear exactly what’s prepared for the weekend, we can certainly expect a full-fledged Travis Scott-centered experience similar to what Jordan Brand pulled off last November at ComplexCon. La Flame himself is featured in this short video teaser of The Compound while wearing the upcoming Nike Zoom Field Jaxx “Limelight”. In his caption, he states ‘I HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR YA ON SUNDAY”.
Connecting the dots, it’s possible that a Shock Drop release of the Nike Zoom Field Jaxx “Limelight” is in the works for the final day of the first-half of Coachella. This has been the case for Travis Scott’s earlier releases in which he and Nike/Jordan employ the local drops prior to a wider online raffle release.
