The Nike Field General Shifts To Woven Construction

With weather finally warming in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s time to break out some low-cut, breathable options in the rotation once again. The Nike Field General ’82 first landed with that exact promise, but its latest build further pushes in that direction.

Indeed, a cross-stitched woven material base takes over the lifestyle retro, a breezier option than the usual leather construction seen on the shoe. Crucially, the shoe inches towards the mesh build seen on the Union Field General collaboration during the shoe’s revitalized rookie year, peering through the overlays at the quarter and toe. To meet this more relaxed composition, the shoe builds out a tonal beige look, complete with a gum-like sole underfoot.

While official images of this woven Nike Field General augers a release on the horizon, an official date hasn’t yet surfaced. A Summer/Fall 2025 debut is likely. Expect a $110 retail price whenever this pair materializes.
