Drake’s association with the Jumpman may be in the rear view, but just how important he was to the brand continues to come into clear view with sample footwear that’s emerged in the years since the two entities parted ways. Carrying similar overtones to his publicly released product and “OVO” monogram prints, two Air Jordan 11 colorways have just done exactly that, revealed by legendary collector Simon Tan (@depeche23mode.)
As mentioned, in the broadest strokes these align with the design language we saw on the Air Jordan 8, Air Jordan 10, and Air Jordan 12 two-packs that landed in the mid 2010s, seen with the opposing white and black palettes and the use of glittery golden outsoles. It further joins the Air Jordan 9 “OVO” samples that touched down earlier in 2025, credibly providing clarity as to what the Toronto rapper and Nike, Inc. would’ve had in the chamber had their relationship continued. Most notably, the patent leather on either of these shoes bear embossed cross patterns of the OVO acronym, potentially a way to maintain the same luxury atmosphere that they achieved with stingray leather on previous Retros, shifted given the material differences the Air Jordan 11 presents.

Note that while this provides our most detailed look at the shoe to date, similarly vaunted Jordan collectors @englishsole also showcased their own set, confirming Tan’s claims that either of these colorways are just 1/2. Further, @englishsole added to the legacy of this shoe by reporting that Fat Joe had the other existing pack, potentially the very shoes you’re seeing featured here.
While these “OVO” Air Jordan 11 colorways won’t be hitting retail anytime soon, check our Jordan Release Dates 2025 page to refresh on what’s on the public slate.
